The Galician Wine Route, Where to Start

Located in the Valley of the Miño River, in a natural setting afforded by the majestic Rias Baixas landscape, we are the ideal starting point for wine lovers setting off along the Galician wine route.

Pazo Pondal offers visitors a unique opportunity to see how our fine wines are made, first-hand.

Our family winery has a history of striving to produce wines that express their terroir, wines that are full of the fruit and floral aromas that characterize the complexity and style of Pazo Pondal wines.

We have inherited the passion, devotion, and love of the vineyards from our ancestors, and are increasingly dedicated to viticulture that is responsible and respectful of the environment.

Our wines are increasingly recognized in the main markets of the world. This year we are paying close attention in the United States, one of the most important and demanding wine consumers. We want to develop distribution in the highest wine consuming states.

Our range of wines grows every year, always maintaining a line of tradition, modernity and the best quality.

Our young spirit leads us to develop creativity and mix art with oenology, culture, and gastronomy with our wines, making all the perfect pairing.

Conscious that the wine is made in the vineyard, more and more we exhibit responsible viticulture. This allows us to work in the research and multiplication of autochthonous yeasts to ferment our wines.

Keeping a unique character throughout the Denomination of Origin help us make wines that make a difference by defending originality and identity.

Miña Vida

Our most special wine, a tribute to our parents, who taught us respect, love for the land and wine. It is a tribute to our origins, a wine that has been made from the vineyard with the best strains of Albariño and Treixadura from the oldest vineyards of Pazo Pondal.

This wine has good aromatic intensity and complexity, which highlights the fusion of the predominant aromas of citrus fruit and flowers over delicate mineral memories and pleasant notes of mint. The impression is a wine of great character but at the same time fresh and youthful, that fills us with powerful structure and unctuous sensation. Also, the aromatic notes highlighted on the nose leave a long and very elegant finish.

Our commitment to the American markets brings us to New York, where we will be participating in the most important wine fair, Vinexpo from March 4-5 (stand #1019).
