EnRoute’s Adventure

Established in 2007 by the founders of Far Niente, EnRoute is the culmination of a more than 40-year passion for Pinot. That deep desire to grow and make the most delicious, stylish expression of Pinot Noir sparked a journey to the Russian River Valley, the acquisition of some the region’s most pedigreed vineyards and the debut of EnRoute’s flagship wine, Les Pommiers.

Drawing its name from the apple orchards that once dotted the Russian River Valley landscape, Les Pommiers marries the best, most harmonious lots from several of these coveted vineyard sites. Whereas EnRoute’s cooler Green Valley vineyards add floral aromatics and racy minerality to Les Pommiers, the winery’s northernmost sites lend the blend vibrant red fruit flavors and silky textures. The resulting wine is a focused, sophisticated Pinot Noir that beautifully expresses both varietal and terroir. Or, as Winemaker Michael Accurso says, a complex wine that tastes of both grape and place.

Today EnRoute continues to seek out new sites that show unparalleled depth and potential while consistent superstar vineyards like Northern Spy and Amber Ridge provide the backbone for the Les Pommiers blend. The winery’s deep commitment to the Russian River Valley ensures that each vintage of Les Pommiers is a stylish, deeply fruited Pinot Noir that offers texture, grace and just plain delicious flavors. Because, as the winery’s very name implies, when it comes to capturing the elusive, expressive, almost ethereal magic of Pinot Noir, the journey never stops.
