Speakers:

Silvano Brescianini
Franciacorta Winemaker & President of Consorzio Franciacorta

Born in 1967 in Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta, Silvano Brescianini grew up in the cellar. His great-grandfather was a winemaker and produced wine long before Franciacorta was recognized as one of the most important appellations in the world. After a childhood spent in the vineyards, he became a sommelier and gained experience in the catering sector that brought him to lead his winery – first as a partner, then as general manager – and today to cover the role of President of the Franciacorta Consortium.

Laura Gatti
Franciacorta Winemaker & Vice President Consorzio Franciacorta
Laura Gatti is a true woman of wine as winemaking has been a constant in her life. She was born in the middle of the harvest in September 1976, and since then she has never abandoned the Franciacorta vineyards to which she still dedicates body and soul. After studying oenology, inspired by her father who was already a master of the sector, Laura took over the family business that she now manages with her brother Matteo, and has also become the Vice President of the Franciacorta Consortium.

Maurizio Zanella
Franciacorta Winemaker
Maurizio Zanella was born in 1956. He studied agriculture and his introduction to the world of wine came in the sixties, when his mother acquired a small hillside property located in Franciacorta. Zanella is a an extensive traveler and wine cosmopolitan who has put into practice in his native Franciacorta what he learned in France, particularly Burgundy and Bordeaux. In 1969, he created his company with passion and enthusiasm, transforming what was a house in the chestnut woods into one of the country’s most modern wineries.
