Pinot Noir is one of the world’s best-known and widely planted red grapes. Its sultry, silky texture, ripe berry flavor and earthy nuances have won the hearts, minds and palates of many wine lovers.

Produced across the globe—from its spiritual home in France to Italy, New Zealand, Australia, South AfricaChile, the United States and beyond—this variety is notoriously fickle in the vineyard and, as a result, often comes with a slightly higher price tag than other varieties.

Of the more than 36,500 Pinot Noirs reviewed to date by Wine Enthusiast, here are eight of the top-searched, recently reviewed wines. Selections range from well-regarded brands in California and Oregon to a value offering from a Burgundian producer and an omnipresent critter wine from Australia. Read on to discover which Pinot Noirs our readers searched the most.
