This blend of nearly 50% Syrah and four other grape varieties is a hedonistic treat. Sweet Chelan cherry and white-lilac aromas erupt from the glass, along with traces of leather and damp clay. Gobs of black-cherry fruit show up on the palate, along with flavors of cherry-vanilla cola, black tea and clove cigarettes. A big and rich wine, this manages to pull off a sense of balance.
