94points21 Grams 2013 Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

Cellar Selection

This blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 6% Malbec comes off of Cold Creek, Windrow and Stone Tree vineyards. Aged in just 35% new oak, it's locked-up on first pour; yet nuanced earth, cassis, graphite, dried herb and spice notes emerge as it opens. The palate is flavorful but refined, with compelling balance and bright acidity despite the warm vintage. A stunner with a long life ahead, it will be best from 2024–2032 but should last well beyond that. One of the wines of the vintage. Sean P. Sullivan
