2Hawk 2018 Darow Series Viognier (Rogue Valley)

There seems to be a narrow window of optimal ripeness for Viognier. Here it falls on the rich side of that spectrum, with full-bodied fruit flavors of peach, apricot and papaya dominant. The mix of time dedicated to aging in barrel and tank seems ideal. There are light highlights of the botanicals that can overtake less ripened vintages. This should develop nicely over the next three to five years. Paul Gregutt
