This Shiraz-based blend, with 21% Cinsault and 8% Grenache, offers earthy notes of fresh mint, white pepper and herbal fynbos, all spicing up the red cherry and raspberry fruit core. A delicate whiff of sweet smoke is seductive, while the palate offers more earthy notes of tilled earth and currant leaf that carry through to the finish. Fine but structured tannins lend a velvety texture. Drink now–2020.
