Abbott Claim 2018 Due North Pinot Noir (Yamhill-Carlton)

This highlights tart cherry fruit with nuanced notes of tanned leather, cut tobacco, lemon rind and black tea. The flavors combine gracefully and move into soft tannins laced with almond paste and milk chocolate. It's a complex, balanced and tasty wine, made from all Pommard vines from the estate's original 2001 planting. Paul Gregutt
