Achaval-Ferrer 2008 Malbec (Mendoza)

Ultra-purple in color, with shallow aromas of pine, thistle patch and black fruit. It's blazing with acidity, which pulls everything in tight and firm. And while that's happening, the blackberry flavors become drawn and borderline sour. Like many previous Achaval-Ferrer varietal Malbecs, this one has its issues. Michael Schachner
