Ackerman 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

Cellar Selection

This is a huge Cabernet, explosive in oak-infused black currants, dark chocolate, licorice and cola. It's tannic, and there's a burst of acidity that gives it a welcome freshness. Impressive as it is, it's too much of everything now, an elephant in the china shop on a rampage. Needs time to settle down. Give it until 2017.
