Adega dos Eidos 2012 Contraaparede Albariño (Rías Baixas)

This densely gold-colored Albariño spent three years on its lees. Now it's showing flat aromas of dried apricot and cider. A chunky palate is caught between the now and then, tasting of yeasty melon and dried citrus fruits. It's a mature white wine with offbeat characteristics. Michael Schachner
