Adelaida 2016 HMR Estate Vineyard Chardonnay (Adelaida District)

Editors' Choice

From a historic vineyard, this Chardonnay is quite Burgundian in style, showing much potential for this grape in Paso Robles. Reserved aromas of lemon rind, vanilla shavings and cashew are quite fresh, while the palate drives the middle road, with tight grapefruit rind and mandarin pith flavors on one side and plumeria and guava on the other. Chalky texture throughout. Matt Kettmann
