Adelaida 2019 HMR Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir (Adelaida District)

Editors' Choice

Made from the Central Coast's first Pinot Noir vineyard, planted in 1964, this reveals why the site still works. A lighter shade of ruby in the glass, the wine begins with aromas of snappy pomegranate, forest undergrowth and baking spices. Raspberry flavors are lifted by light juniper and thyme on the layered, acid-splashed, tightly woven palate. Matt Kettmann
