Adelsheim 2018 Calkins Lane Vineyard Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

Juicy blackberry and black cherry fruit jump out immediately, while astringent, tea flavored tannins quickly sap the life out of the finish. There's something missing in the overall balance, a bit of a midpalate hole. The wine is pleasant enough, but it lacks the depth and detail of earlier vintages. Paul Gregutt
