This is a bit spunkier and sweeter than its more refined big brothers. It has a fresh eggy nose, a dry apple-dominated palate, and a fresh, zippy, cleansing finish. It is a perfect apéritif or party bubbly, one with a smooth, defined character and lots of punch, but not a ton of complexity. Best Buy. —M.S.
