There's not a lot of Riesling coming from Temecula, and this one is appealing, although not very typical for this grape. Aromas of baked yellow apples, cantaloupe and sea salt lead into a soft palate of salted orange, butter and slight oak. It is more like a Chardonnay than Riesling, but it works. Matt Kettmann
