Alamos 2000 Malbec (Mendoza)

Wood-driven spicy aromas dominate the bouquet, which offers too little fruit and only a hint of clove. Raspberry and red cherry flavors come before a dry, simple woody finish. Given the light, lean body weight of this wine, the oak comes on a bit strong and drying. Michael Schachner
