Alara 2016 Negrette (San Benito County)

Deep and dark in the glass, this bottling of a grape rarely seen in the state combines black plum, vanilla and ginger spice on the nose. Black cherry and milk chocolate flavors show on the palate, where strong acidity slices through the full flavors and the soft mouthfeel. The high listed alcohol is surprisingly balanced.
