Albert Morot 2020 Beaune Aigrots Premier Cru (Beaune)

Perfumed notes of dried strawberries and raspberry preserves extend from nose to finish in this robust, almost brawny expression of Beaune. Voluminous and creamy in texture, it's a concentrated, ripe Pinot Noir accented by hints of wet clay and smoked tea leaves. Held upright by streaks of red-currant acidity and a furry, softly tannic finish, it's best approached from 2024 to 2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
