Alder Ridge is the label for the top wines from Corus Brands. Aromatic and complex, it's a young wine that seems to still be raveling itself together. The winemaker attributes the choppiness to cross-flow filtering, but it is meaty and substantial, and showing a supple, varietal, seamless profile: bright cranberry and raspberry fruit, layers of coffee, butterscotch and caramel, and finely polished tannins.
