Alexana 2019 East Blocks-Volcanic Soils Pinot Noir (Dundee Hills)

This shoots up beguiling aromas of black cherries, coffee and roasted hazelnuts. It's compact and firm, with a light suggestion of stems around the finishing tannins. The sturdy composition and balanced frame suggest aging it a bit longer, and it should drink well into the 2030s. Paul Gregutt
