I suspect there will be those who criticize this wine for being too fruity—too full of pear and nectarine aromas, too full of ripe, fruity flavors. Where's the minerality, the terroir? they'll ask. And, in fairness, that's what keeps this wine from achieving a higher rating. Still, its lush fruit, combined with a long, mouthwatering finish, make this a winning Chard at a fair price.
