Alloro 2017 Estate Justina Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

Justina is the reserve above the Riservata, also a barrel selection, and given 78% new French oak over 11 months. This lovely, pitch-perfect wine sports clean, juicy cherry-berry fruit, amped up by lively acidity. The new oak flavors remain in the background, but it add streaks of tobacco and toast. Though lighter than the past few vintages, this new release penetrates well and remains in perfect balance all through the finish. Paul Gregutt
