Dense and fairly earthy, with a big coating of chocolate and char courtesy of full-force oak. The palate is dark and heavy with blackberry fruit, compact tannins and some burnt notes, while the finish is a little salty but long. Not stellar but showing a lot of qualities. Michael Schachner
