Rich aromas of black cherry cola, turned earth, oak and a hint of cranberry show on the nose of this bottling from a vineyard toward the southwestern edge of the appellation. On the sip, creamy tannins have just enough bite to balance the rounded cherry and strawberry flavors, as mace and cardamom add complexity. Matt Kettmann
