Named after Alphonse Jr's father (Edmond Alphonse), this is the top wine from the Mellot estate. With its extra bottle age and wood flavors this is not typical Sancerre. But it is a great wine, packed with ripe, mature fruits, with honey and pistachio flavors and a round, smooth, creamy, caramel character.
