Fans of full-bodied, dark-fruited reds will swoon over this modern-style Garnacha from old vineyards in Aragón. Pitch black, the nose provides a pure blast of blackberry and cassis, and the palate is chewy yet fresh, with baked black-fruit flavors as well as coffee, chocolate and vanilla. A smooth, lush, layered finish with vanilla and toffee notes is the final act. Drink through 2017.
