The Shenandoah Valley in California's Sierra Foothills is definitely showing its propensity for Sangiovese here with longtime producer Amador Foothill Winery doing a nice job on this 2007, a wine with lots of dry, dusty tannins and mountain-grown structure that's still got spice and will pair with Italian-inspired dishes with ease.
