Amberley 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot (Margaret River)

Shows odd aromas of anise, rhubarb, pickle barrel and wheat flour on the nose, but what you get in the mouth is more enjoyable, and more straightforward. Chewy tannins are set against blackberry, oak and tea flavors, picking up a little wheat toast on the finish.
