Forward, clean, bright cherry fruit leads into a wine with firmness and length. Still young and compact, it hints in the finish at some interesting nuances of soil and leaf. This is the second vintage that Amity has bottled a single-vineyard Schouten, and it is their best single-vineyard effort. —P.G.
