Anam Cara 2006 Nicholas Estate Riesling (Willamette Valley)

This is just the second harvest from this tiny, one-acre plot in the Chehalem mountains. It is a beautifully crafted wine, which wraps its fresh, crisp citrus/apple fruit in whiffs of honey and jasmine. Though just 12.7% alcohol, there is nothing light or simple about this wine; it has a firm constitution and subtle layers of mixed fruits and mineral. Paul Gregutt
