Ancient Peaks 2014 Santa Margarita Ranch Sauvignon Blanc (Paso Robles)

The first release on the winery's new label program, which shines a bright light on the soils of their sprawling vineyard atop the Cuesta Grade, this offers clean aromas of lemon peel. The palate is almost spritzy with energy, showing lime juice, green pear and dried-apple flavors all bound together by a searing acidity. Matt Kettmann
