Andis 2011 Mourvèdre (Amador County)

This blend of 80% Mourvèdre with 20% Syrah is aged in concrete egg. It offers soft, light layers of blackberry and currant, a tiny suggestion of cinnamon and a streak of peppery spice. Andis remains a fine producer of many varieties, Rhône and otherwise, one always worth seeking. Virginie Boone
