Andis 2012 Amador Zinfandel Zinfandel (Shenandoah Valley (CA))

An assertive if not aggressive wine, it smells like smoke and charred wood, tastes like espresso dosed with raspberry syrup, and feels tannic, oaky and astringent. Full bodied and ripe at its core, the oak characteristics effectively take over. Jim Gordon
