Anne Amie 2018 Musigny Clone Twelve Oaks Estate Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

This is an unusual clonal selection, and one that justifies its role as a stand-alone wine. Purple fruits with some excellent depth rule the palate, and the aging for a year in French oak adds just the right touch of mocha and a lick of caramel. It's a delicious wine that finishes with candy bar flavors (but not any sweetness), including toasted nuts and almond paste. Paul Gregutt
