This is a charming auslese that can actually be paired with main dishes, rather than relegated to the cheese course. It's reasonably full and off-dry in style, with aromas of baked apple and honey and similar flavors tinged with citrus pith and ripe melon. Asian cuisine is too obvious; try it with goose, turkey or duck served with slightly sweet sauces or sides. Joe Czerwinski
