This is a dense and concentrated wine, still in its youth, with heady, fruity tones of black plum, berry, cassis and date that are layered with notes of licorice, cigar box and roasted cocoa nib. The mouthfeel is ripe and lush, with firm, gripping tannins providing balance and structure, lingering long on the finish. Drink now–2020.
