This is a complex and delicious wine that's completely inviting now, but should continue to hold well for another 5–10 years. Earthy, herbal notes of tobacco leaf, leather, cigar box and crushed violets open the bouquet, grounded by a core of lush, ripe blackberry, currant, raspberry sauce and blueberry crumble. The mouthfeel is full and robust, yet structured by fine but present tannins and bold spicy tones that carry through to the enduring finish. Drink now–2022.
