This fruity, made-to-quaff Sangiovese has some earthy, mineral notes along with black fruit and full but nonaggressive tannins. Hints of cocoa and licorice add some complexity to what is otherwise a simple, fruity wine. In most ways it's similar to Beaujolais. Best Buy. —M.S.
