Apolloni 2012 Reserve Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

Just two barrels—both new French oak—were selected for this reserve bottling. There's a bit more concentration here than in the estate Pinot, with cranberry and cherry fruit, balancing acidity and tannins that show flavors of black tea. A whiff and taste of toast adds some zip to the finish. Paul Gregutt
