Puckeringly thick at first, this vineyard-designate needs time. It was sourced from a lonely site in the appellation, where a lot more Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grow than Syrah. Black licorice and dark plum develop in the glass, remaining balanced against managed acidity and oak.
