Arano 2000 Estate (Amarone della Valpolicella Classico)

A touch of early sulfur leaves quickly, and what's left on the bouquet is coffee, cola, smoke and a bit of apple skin. Black cherry and licorice flavors meet on the palate, which sports a tiny bit of acrid campfire. Finishes rather long and peppery, with a solid, largely supple feel.
