Very dark colors and meaty, road-tar notes in the nose put you on notice that the wine is big. But more than big, it's pure, with layers of plum and berry fruit mixed with a peppery, bacon quality. It has an almost late-harvest depth and softness throughout, so the best bet might be to drink it soon.
