Arbor Crest 1999 Syrah (Columbia Valley (WA))

This big, tangy, too-oaky palate is not much consolation for the bizarre bouquet of Macadamia nut, cream cheese and volatile acid (know what a nail salon smells like?). Finishes long, with tart toast and cocoa flavors. One reviewer noted that those who aren't sensetive to volatile acidity will like this better--but many people won't be able to get past the nose.
