Argyle 1996 Knutsen Vineyard Brut (Willamette Valley)

This is the most complex and elegant sparkling wine from Argyle, who pioneered Oregon bubbly. It's a barrel-fermented, 70/30 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In the mouth, it has a seamless, delicate presence, it's overall elegance expressed in the tiny, streaming bubbles and the crisp precision of flavors. Hints of cinnamon and licorice highlight a light, toasty finish. Paul Gregutt
