Arista 2009 Woodruff Vineyard Pinot Noir (Santa Cruz Mountains)

Cellar Selection

The oak sticks out now in the form of toast and sweet wood sap, but that's because it hasn't been integrated into this fine young wine. Give it 3–4 years to come around, by which time the barrel influence will equalize with the ripe raspberries, cherries, Dr. Pepper cola and red currants. Could be quite special around 2015.
