Armstrong Family 2014 Four Birds Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

Merlot makes up half of this wine, and Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot make up the balance. The aromas are unique, with high-toned black tea, green herb and vanilla notes that aren't entirely settled. The palate brings blackberry and plum flavors that are a bit disjointed. It drops off on the finish. Sean P. Sullivan
