Arndorfer 2014 Terrassen 1979 Roter Veltliner (Austria)

A very seductive nose of baked apple and even apple juice is tempered by a peppery, greenish spiciness. The palate shows even more of that pepper but makes the full-fruited nature of this Austrian native (not related to Grüner) a very moreish, lightbodied but richly textured wine with ample freshness. A very friendly style. Anne Krebiehl MW
