This is a well-built, elegant Zinfandel, with restrained blackberry, sagebrush and wet clay aromas on the nose. A chalky structure shows on the palate, where wild mint and thyme notes add nuance to the elderberry and black plum skin flavors. Patience and cellar time will allow further aromatic layers to emerge.
